Haydee Fuentes

Master's Level Practicum Student

Haydee is pursing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Tarleton State University. Haydee is a counselor trainee who has completed Graduate coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is supervised by a faculty instructor and Ebony Skinner, Ph.D., LPC-S, AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Haydee is completing her Practicum at Mindful Purpose-Guided Counseling.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Language & Society from Austin College. Haydee has previously worked in Academic settings and as a Youth Development Specialist. 

Haydee takes a humanistic approach with clients. She believes that every client has the ability to change their lives, but need a bit of help finding tools that are unique to them. She ensures every client feels safe and supported while exploring their feelings and taking full control of their decisions. She also adjusts to the ever-changing needs of her clients. Haydee was born in North Texas and has traveled to northern Mexico.  In her spare time, Haydee likes to create, whether it's painting, writing stories in her head, learning an instrument, or creating poetry. She also crochets and invites others to be creative both in counseling and in their daily lives.
