Sequoia is pursing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Tarleton State University. Sequoia is a counselor trainee who has completed advanced coursework in counseling and is supervised by a faculty instructor and Ebony Skinner, Ph.D., LPC-S. Sequoia is completing her practicum at Mindful Purpose-Guided Counseling.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Mary's University. 

Sequoia takes a person centered approach and focuses on her individual clients' unique needs and experiences. Sequoia ensures that her clients are empowered to participate in their own care. Sequoia also makes sure that her client feel understood and supported. 

Sequoia was born in Boston, Massachusetts and has lived in San Antonio for most of her life before moving to North Texas.  Sequoia has dreamed of becoming a counselor since High School. Sequoia enjoys drawing, journaling and writing poetry in her free time. She also enjoys walks through nature and catching critters such as frogs, lizards and snakes!
